 Early life

Raqhid Jevon Render (March 16, 1998 - May 13, 2022), better known as Lil Keed, had been a rapper and composer from the United States. He was joined to YSL Records, which is owned by Young Thug, as well as 300 Entertainment. His single "Nameless" peaked at number 42 on Billboard's Hip Hop/R&B Songs Airplay chart. Raqhid Render was the sixth of seven children born in Atlanta, Georgia. Render did grow up in Forest Park before going to Atlanta and settling on Cleveland Avenue. Render began rapping seriously in 2016 after the loss of his close buddy Rudy. He has six brothers and one sister, the youngest of whom is rapper Lil Gotit.

Considering his parents' divorce while he was young, both have been active in Render's life. Keed worked at Subway and McDonald's during his adolescence. Keed would record songs virtually every day because he lived near a studio. Render began recording music with his younger brother Semaja Render in 2017, releasing songs online and gaining some regional successes. Render has a daughter called Naychur as well.

Keed dropped his single "Slatt Rock" featured Paper Lovee on July 23, 2018, along with his upcoming mixtape Trapped on Cleveland 2. Keed & his younger brother Lil Gotit appeared in fellow rapper Lil Uzi Vert's song Heavy Metal in October 2018. Lil Keed released another mixtape, Keed Talk To 'Em, on December 12, 2018, which included the lead hit Nameless as well as other notable singles like as "Balenciaga" featuring 21 Savage, "Red Hot" featuring Trippie Redd, and others. Lil Durk and Lil Yachty also appeared on Keed Talk To 'Em. Keed appeared in Lil Gotit's single "Drop The Top" on March 11, 2019. Keed released the single "Move It" on March 14, 2019, featuring fellow Migos musician Offset. Lil Keed has been nominated for the 10th slot for the XXL Freshman cover on March 27, 2019. Keed's song "Oh My God" was released on April 24, 2019. Lil Keed's "Proud Of Me," featuring Young Thug, was released on May 6, 2019. The song was released alongside his upcoming first studio album Long Live Mexico, besides the released recently single "Oh My God." Keed revealed that the album's title was inspired by his buddy Mexico, who died earlier this year when Keed was on tour with Trippie Redd.
 
Keed's new single "Pull Up," featuring Lil Uzi Vert and YNW Melly, was released on May 29, 2019. Young Thug's YSL Records and 300 Entertainment released the single. Keed's debut studio album "Long Live Mexico" was released on June 13, 2019. Artists on the album included Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Roddy Ricch, YNW Melly, and Young Thug. The CD was a homage to his late buddy Mexico. The album charted at number 26 on the Billboard 200 and number 11 on the Hot Rap Albums Chart, making it his biggest performing effort to date. Hoodrich Pablo Juan's new track "Drip Babies," on which Keed and Lil Gotit join, was released on July 18, 2019. Lil Keed appeared on Future's single "Undefeated" on July 23, 2019. He also released a music video for his Long Live Mexico tune "HBS" on the same day. Cole Bennett directed the song video. The music video for Lil Keed and Guap Tarantino's joint track "Churches Peppers" was premiered on WorldStarHipHop on August 14, 2019. Keed's Mooktoven-produced single "Saliva" was released on September 3, 2019. Keed dropped his single "Swap It Out" with Lil Duke on September 18, 2019. On behalf of Alamo Records, a music video for Lil Gotit and Lil Keed's joint track "Brotherly Love" was released on October 17, 2019. 88GLAM and Lil Keed released their joint duet "Bankroll" on November 7, 2019. The music video for Lil Keed's Long Live Mexico single "Snake" was released on November 27, 2019. On behalf of WMG, a music video for Young Scooter and Lil Keed's joint track "Trap Museum" was released on November 21, 2019. [46] Keed's collaboration track "Accomplishments" featuring Lil Yachty and Zaytoven was released on December 6, 2019, accompanied with a music video.

Keed revealed his upcoming second studio album Trapped On Cleveland 3 on January 11, 2020. Keed's collaboration track "A-Team (You Ain't Safe)" featuring Lil Yachty, Lil Gotit, and Zaytoven was released on January 30, 2020. It was the second song from their upcoming collaboration album, A-Team. Keed released his single "No Dealings," along with a music video, on April 15, 2020. Keed released his second single "Wavy" on May 15, 2020, although the song did not feature on Trapped on Cleveland 3, but the remix featuring American rapper Travis Scott did. Keed released the track "Fox 5" with American rapper Gunna on June 12, 2020. During the production of the song's music video, gunfire burst out, injuring two individuals. Keed confirmed the release date and cover art for Trapped on Cleveland 3 on July 31, 2020. On August 3, 2020, he released "She Know," a new single featuring American rapper Lil Baby.

Keed's album Trapped On Cleveland 3 will be released on August 7, 2020. Artists on the album include 42 Dugg, Future, Gunna, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla Sign, and Young Thug. Keed was named to XXL's 2020 Freshman Class on August 11, 2020.
Keed unveiled the tracklist for his Trapped On Cleveland 3 deluxe edition on October 27, 2020. On October 30, 2020, he released the deluxe edition, which included 18 new tracks and guest performances from O.T. Genasis, Lil Gotit, Quavo, Lil Duke, Yak Gotti, and Chris Brown.


DEATH 
Render died at the age of 24 on May13,2022, left behind his three-year-old daughter Naychur.

Musical styles

Because the two rappers both grew up on Cleveland Avenue and Keed was signed to YSL Records, Keed's style was frequently likened to Young Thug's. Keed's approach has been compared to Young Thug's while having his own distinct flow, according to Chicago Reader. According to Pitchfork, Keed built on features of Young Thug's diverse flows, notably the high-pitched delivery. According to an interview with WHTA Hot 107.9, Keed was influenced by his neighbor Young Thug, Chingy, Peewee Longway, and Big Bank Black's music.

Live performances

 On May 11, 2019, Lil Keed performed on the very same stage as Young Thug, Chief Keef, Lil Wayne, and Comethazine at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida. On September 29, 2019, he was slated to play at the Rolling Loud Festival in Oakland. Keed and Lil Gotit performed at The Novo theater in Los Angeles on September 14, 2019. Throughout the concert, fellow rapper Drake was there and on stage with Keed. Young Thug and Lil Duke made brief appearances on stage as well. Keed played at the Rolling Loud New York festival on October 12, 2019. On October 13, 2019, Keed also performed at the A3C Festival in Atlanta. Keed played at the Mala Luna event in San Antonio, Texas on October 27, 2019.
