Kanye West performed at Rolling Loud Miami, after canceling his main concert less than a week beforehand.
Kanye West was scheduled to headline the opening day of Rolling Loud Miami on Friday (July 22), but his performance was suddenly canceled on Monday (July 18). In an odd twist of destiny, he wound himself onstage in support of Lil Durk at the annual Florida music festival.
Ye went on stage to sing "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," which included Kid Cudi on the chorus initially. Cudi, who took over as main act after Kanye West, abruptly halted his set just as Kanye was playing on the neighboring stage.
Kid Cudi left his set after being smacked in the face with a water bottle. "If I get hit with one more fucking thing, if I see one more fucking thing on this fucking stage, I'm leaving," he tried to warn them. Cudi's strong warning, however, had little effect on the ambush.
Kanye West's cancellation was announced via social media by Rolling Loud organizers, who appeared as surprised as Kanye's fans.
The announcement added, "We were looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022." "We worked on the performance with him and his staff for months." Unfortunately, Ye has decided to retire from performing.
"This is the first time a headliner has ever canceled our performance, and while we are disappointed, we wish him the best." We are excited to have Kid Cudi as a headliner in Miami and can't wait to see what he has in store."
