It all began when Dwayne was asked during an interview for the film DC League of Super-Pets which celebrity he'd want to be a pet too, and he selected Megan (apparently without hesitation).Megan Thee Stallion was questioned about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently citing her as the celebrity he'd like to be a pet for during an interview with SirusXM's The Morning Mash Up on Thursday (August 11).
Meg became animated as soon as the interviewers brought up the subject as if she knew exactly what they were about to ask. In her answer, the Traumazine artist expressed her gratitude for being singled out by name by one of the world's top celebrities.
"I mean, that's kind of legendary," exclaimed Megan Thee Stallion. "Like, I'm kind of epic. I used to watch wrestling all the time. Being from Houston and watching The Rock and how famous he is, how much of a mega-star he is and he wanna be my pet? Like, period. Like, we made it. We might be a little famous."
Megan's ecstasy derives from an interview The Rock just gave in support of his new animated feature, DC League of Super-Pets, in which he also co-stars with Kevin Hart. When asked which celebrity they would each want to have as a pet, Johnson promptly responded with one name, "Megan Thee Stallion," without even thinking about it.
While the Houston spitter is overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a happy pet parent to the famous movie actress, one person may not be as pleased. Prior to the SiriusXM interview, Megan Thee Stallion's boyfriend, Pardison Fontaine, took to social media to express his outrage to The Rock's lighthearted remark.
Pardison Fontaine, who is White, slung some shade at Dwayne Johnson's wife, Lauren Hashian, in a since-deleted tweet. Pardi also mentioned his fondness for one of The Rock's most popular flicks.
"All our dogs named after #s," wrote Fontaine. "Just teach your wife to use seasoning ... you'll be iiight ... Moana is the shit tho."
After deleting the tweet and becoming popular as a result of his original response, Pardi has subsequently stated that his apparent shot at The Rock was a jest.
