Jay-Z Will Appear on DJ Khaled's New Album "God Did"
DJ Khaled announced in his trademark high-energy style that he's gotten another Jay-Z verse for his next album God Did. On Instagram, Khaled posted a snapshot of Roc Nation executive Lenny "Kodak Lens" Santiago, as well as a series of stunning comments from the We The Best CEO after hearing the verse in the issue. "Oh my real fucking God," SZA said, echoing Khaled's enthusiasm. “HOV DID!!!” Khaled captioned the posts.
“HOV VOCALS ARE IN! WOW...WOW, #HOVDID #GODDID ALBUM COMING SOON !!!!!! @wethebestmusic @rocnation @kodaklens @youngguru763 !!!!!!!!!! HOV LOVE FOREVER BROTHER !!!!!!!!WOW! PLEASE SWIPE! SO U YOU KNOW !!!!!!!!”
When Hov's verse was delivered, Grammy-winning engineer Yung Guru was present and added to the excitement by handing the Roc Nation boss flowers. “HOV is the greatest of all time,” he tweeted out. “This can’t be debated anymore!!!”
Given how much time the two have lately spent together, the confirmed Jay-Z inclusion for Khaled's 13th studio album comes as no surprise. Only a week ago, the "I Got The Keys" combo was pictured lounging in the studio, with Khaled thanking Jay for his continued support. “They didn’t believe in us, HOV DID,” Khaled wrote. “And when HOV believes, more HISTORY is made. #GODDID. Thank you my brother for everything you do for US!! HOV DID!! ALBUM ALMOST DONE !!!!!!!!!!!”
Jay-Z has been on every Khaled project since 2015, including "They Don't Love You No More," "I Got the Keys," and "Shining." He most recently participated in Khaled Khaled's 2021 project, "SORRY NOT SORRY," alongside James Fauntleroy and Nas.
Aside from Hov, Khaled has hinted that an upcoming track from God Did will include Drake and Lil Baby and that collaborations with Future, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Gunna, and Quavo are on the road.
