Nipsey Hussle will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame after his death. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said on Wednesday (August 10) that a celebration honoring the late Crenshaw legend will be held on his 37th birthday (August 15).

Nipsey Hussle will be inducted with NFL icon Michael Strahan, actor Michael B. Jordan, the Black Eyed Peas, and others in the 2022 Walk of Fame class.

Nip joins Snoop Dogg, Diddy, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, and DJ Khaled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2023, Ludacris will also be honored with a star.

Hussle was unfortunately shot and murdered in front of his Marathon Clothing business on March 31, 2019. Eric Holder, Nip's killer, was convicted of first-degree murder by a grand jury in July. Experts predict he might be sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

Nipsey Hussle's legacy in California will not be limited to the Hollywood star. Metro Rail in Los Angeles has announced that a new station would be named after the late rapper.

The station, located in Nipsey Hussle Square, will service the Hyde Park K-Line. It's one of eight stations along the path that takes you through some of Los Angeles' and Inglewood's oldest communities.

“From Slauson and all the way to Vernon, you will see world-class pieces of art, celebrating the history and the legacy of African American people,” Los Angeles Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson said. “Everybody who comes to L.A. and rides the train out of the airport is gonna see it. Is that alright?”
