6ix9ine is the newest celebrity to stand out about Kanye West's controversial behavior, and he supports the famous rapper for freely expressing himself.
The Brooklyn rapper was featured on an edition of Andrew Tate's Tate Speech show, where he expressed his support for Ye. 6ix9ine stated that "people don't just normalize freedom of speech," and that "people don't normalize being real."
That, according to 6ix9ine, is where people go wrong when criticizing others for speaking their minds, particularly Kanye West. 6ix9ine wasted no time applauding Ye for his bravery in taking on giant corporations and high-level personalities.
“I think he’s a wolf. I think he’s standing on business,” 6ix9ine stated. “I love Kanye. I love what he stands for, and he does what the fuck he wants. When there are billionaires, trillionaires, millionaires in your ear, and they’re saying, ‘Kanye, this is not the respectable thing.’ He worked himself so much. He worked himself so high that he doesn’t have to bow down to a dollar.”
6ix9ine's statements came after a wide list of companies, including Balenciaga, Vogue, CAA, Def Jam, Gap, and others, terminated connections with Kanye West as a result of his recent controversial anti-Semitic remarks.
Adidas also chose to end their deal with the "Can't Tell Me Nothing" singer earlier this week owing to his previous anti-Semitic remarks. According to Forbes, the transaction reduced Kanye's net worth from a reputed $2 billion to around $400 million.
During his interview with Tate, 6ix9ine also disclosed that Ye approached him for a duet earlier this year, but he declined. The whole thing happened as Wack 100 was cleaning up the Kim Kardashian s** video controversy for Ye, and the two organically networked.
“We stayed at the NoBu Hotel in Malibu [California],” 6ix9ine said. “He stayed in a hotel a block away from his house. He was just working on music but it was nothing that I wanted to work on. I respect he creative genius but I’m never going to do something I don’t want to do.”
