Z-Ro Was Arrested In Houston After Being Caught With A Gun - WhatsOnRap

Deputies stopped the rapper on October 14, and police reportedly found Z-Ro in possession of a firearm.

Z-Ro is being jailed in the Harris County Jail after a gun was found in his car during a traffic encounter in his hometown of Houston.

On Friday (October 14), Harris County Constable Mark Herman revealed on his official Facebook account that the rapperJoseph McVey, had been pulled over in the 7500 block of N Sam Houston Pkwy W. Z-Ro, who is a convicted felon, quickly recognized himself and notified the arresting officers that he was in possession of a firearm.

The type of weapon recovered was not specified in the post. Authorities discovered 4.7 ounces of marijuana after an additional examination.

“Joseph Mcvey was arrested and booked into the Harris County jail, charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm,” Herman wrote. “His bond and court information have not been set at this time.”

However it's unconfirmed what felony arrests Z-Ro still has on his record, he was arrested in July 2017 when his then-girlfriend, fellow rapper Just Brittany, accused him of abusing her at her house. According to the police report, the pair planned to meet at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on April 29, 2017, however, the restaurant was closed. Instead, they gathered at Z-residence, Ro's where an altercation erupted as they discussed the failed dinner date. Z-Ro was accused of slapping, beating, and dragging Brittany around the house while wielding a pistol, with video proof of the purported confrontation provided by Brittany. The assault charges were eventually reduced to misdemeanors and then dropped two years later.
