2Pac’s authorized biography written by his childhood friend, Staci Robinson, is coming October 24, 2023

This year will see the release of an officially approved biography of 2Pac.

Pac's estate announced the publication of the biography, written by Pac's childhood friend Staci Robinson. It will be the only book authorized by the legend's estate to chronicle his life. Tupac Remembered: Bearing Witness to a Life and Legacy; the novel Interceptions; the film The Bounce Back; and the upcoming FX documentary Dear Mama: The Saga of Afeni and Tupac Shakur, which is set to premiere in April, are among Robinson's previous projects and collaborations.

"A moving exploration of his life and powerful legacy, completely highlighted with pictures, mementos, written by hand creative writing, musings, and more," the @2pacunlimited Instagram account said in a statement:

“Staci Robinson, author and screenwriter who knew ‘Pac during his adolescence and who was entrusted by his late mother, Afeni Shakur, to write his biography peels back the myths and unpacks the complexities that have shadowed his existence. With exclusive access to his private notebooks, letters, unpublished lyrics and uncensored conversations with those who knew and loved him best, Robinson tells a powerful story of a life defined by politics and art, and a man driven by equal parts brilliance and impulsiveness. Her previous projects and collaborations include ‘Tupac Remembered, Bearing Witness to a Life and Legacy’ and the forthcoming FX documentary ‘Dear Mama: The Saga of Afeni and Tupac Shakur’ that will premiere on April 21.”
