Man Travis Scott Allegedly Punched Explains What Happened & Says Rapper Flipped Him Off Before Punching Him

Travis Scott erupted in a rage during a recent DJ set in New York City. The rapper was in hot water this week after an alleged assault on a sound engineer in New York City.

According to reports, the rapper attacked a man outside of New York City's Nebula and struck him in the face. The alleged victim filed a police report, but according to authorities, he had no visible injuries. Scott is also accused of destroying $12K in equipment as a result of the assault on the sound engineer.

Scott still doesn't reply to the claims, despite the fact that he is sought in New York City. The New York Police Department said they are looking for the "SICKO MODE" rapper as a suspect in an assault, though there have been conflicting reports about the severity of the incident.

Dorian Harrington, who booked Don Toliver's performance at which Scott performed, tells PEOPLE that the claims are inaccurate. “This is a total misunderstanding, and what I saw on stage doesn’t reflect what I read in the news. The music and the night turned out great and everyone left peacefully,” Harrington said.

The victim, Mark, was interviewed by Fox5 News from a hospital bed. “My neck is f**ked up. My arm is tingling. I have pins and needles going down it,” he said. He explained that things started to go left during Scott’s DJ set, which he described as being too loud and distorted. “[Travis Scott] stuck his middle finger in my face,” Mark recalled. “So I lowered the monitor a little bit so I could talk to him, and that’s when he ran around the speaker and attacked me.”

Scott apparently went on a frenzy after that, destroying $12K in equipment, involving speakers and a visual screen. According to the rapper's attorney, Mitchell Schuster, the entire situation is "a misunderstanding that has been blown out of proportion by clickbait and misinformation.” He added that he believes Scott will be “cleared of any wrongdoing” after a thorough investigation.
