Kanye West Has Deactivated His IG Account - WhatsOnRap

Kanye West has deactivated his Instagram account months after social media bans

Kanye West posted his last Instagram post on Tuesday (April 18), hinting that he's planning on leaving the platform.

The Donda rapper uploaded an image of the Instagram deactivation page, which showed the confirmation on temporarily wiping accounts. Ye pulled the gun on his popular account shortly after uploading the post.

Kanye West's Instagram account was suspended 24 hours in March for breaking the app's hate speech, bullying, and harassment standards. Ye was suspended after making many postings criticizing Kim Kardashian's then-boyfriend Pete Davidson.

Ye was also banned from Twitter in 2022 for making anti-Semitic remarks. Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur who took over Twitter in November 2022, removed the prohibition.

The same month, it was reported that Ye was in discussions to buy the conservative social media platform Parlor, owned by the husband of prominent right-wing commentator Candace Owens, George Farmer. However, the transaction fell through.

Kanye returned to Instagram last winter, during his renowned streak of posting comments that were anti-Semitic on social media. Following the reaction, Ye took a sabbatical from Instagram and returned last month with a perplexing post.

Kanye recently made news when it was revealed that his presidential run in 2024 is in disarray, with infighting among his inner circle and workers turning on each other.
