He said: " I got full control and say, it started off as business partner situation, but I'm over his next project. He is still signed to crate a MUSIC GROUP and 10K, that is his label. I'm taking the reins on the management side to make sure everything is right, and the rollout is right. What he gets with me is a guy answering his phone calls and emails. He gets a guy that makes sure his marketing is right, his radio is right, his pub is right, his splits are right. And he gets the resources I have to open those doors up that may have been closed on him. "
Back in December the rapper TEKASHI was hit with a civil lawsuit for involvement in an armed robbery back in 2018, the plaintiffs were SEKETHA WONDER and KEVIN DOZIER, they say that the rapper TEKASHI was present when his TERY NINE BLOODS associates ambushed them back in APRIL 2018 in MANHATTAN. The victims were working as publicity, they said that they were in the studio while five armed men pulled up in an SUV and demand them to get down on the ground before they took their belongings.
The victims were ambushed because TEKASHI and his gang were mistakenly believed that they were affiliated with J.PRINCE's rap A-LOT-RECORDS. 6ixnine was found guilty of this crime, and other charges.
The rapper TEKASHI says that his record deal with TEN THOUSAND PROJECTS has expired the last month, the same in the MERCHANDISE deal. He said: " I did receive large advances under the recording artist and merchandising agreements prior to my arrest, however, I do not receive any royalties under those agreements either since my royalty accounts remain unrecouped. TEKASHI has cooperated with the feds to bring his former associates in the NINE TREY GANGSTA BLOODS GANG. Since then, he has managed to secure his release from prison, but his career is far cry from what it was before he was locked up.
The rapper 6ixnine, who went to jail, once bought millions of dollars worth of clothes or jewelry, but 6ix9ine still claims he’s not alive right now and could face bankruptcy if they file a lawsuit against him recently. Also, things are not looking very good for Tekashi's situation and career too, he has been on a months-long hiatus from releasing music and posting on social media.
TEKASHI 6ixnine tells also the court that is hardly bringing in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, putting a damper on his ability to make his show money. He said in the court: " If the court awards the compensatory damages and punitive damages sought by the plaintiffs at this inquest, it will surely bankrupt me in a way from which I will never recover to the permanent detriment of the family members who rely upon on me." He admits in the court documents that he is so afraid for his own life after turning against his former gang, he said: " I will never lead a normal life since my cooperation made me a target for NINE TREY as well as other gangs, I will live with that fear every day. "
