G Herbo is an American rapper and musician whose debut mixtape, Welcome to Fazoland, received critical praise. Since then, he's produced a number of mixtapes, including Pistol P Project, Ballin Like I'm Kobe, and Strictly 4 My Fans, all of which have garnered positive reviews. Welcome to Fazoland 1.5 and Strictly 4 My Fans 2 - Road To Humble Beast are two EPs he released. He has been interested in music since he was a child, and he collaborated with his cousin Lil Bibby to produce songs that they eventually published on YouTube. Some of these tracks went viral, bringing the young rappers to the notice of Drake, a well-known Canadian rapper who praised them. Receiving a commendation from Drake aided the young musicians in gaining a tiny but devoted following.

G Herbo has returned with a new song. On Friday (April 22), the Chicago rapper released his new song "Locked In," a dedication to his late brother Gregory "Lil Greg" Jackson, and accompanied it with a new video produced by Lawrence Mahone.

"I've been in a funk since my brother died," Herb raps over wailing guitars. "Locked In" continues to detail some of the difficulties he faced after Lil Greg's unexpected death. Another recent setback for Herbo was the highly public feud between him and his ex-girlfriend Ari Fletcher, who alleged on her social media accounts earlier this month that the 26-year-old lyricist and his new fiancée Taina Williams harmed their joint 3-year-old son, Yosohn. After Fletcher uploaded a video of Yosohn admitting fear about having another kid, Herbo felt compelled to reply. Yosohn's tantrum was allegedly caused by Herbo's mistreatment of his kid, according to the rapper's ex.

In a video answer, Herbo stated, "What the fuck sort of sick individual, human being, do you have to be to want a three-year-old to dislike or not like his own siblings?" "I'm not sure what you're talking about. A mother's bond with her kid is very different than a father's relationship with his child."  "Why do y'all continue to like build this narrative as in 'oh, me as a father, I'm having kids, I love my firstborn, my first-ever genuine true love in life, less than I could love the kids that I'm having now, or my kid feels neglected, like, my son loves me," he said. Unconditionally.”

"Locked In" follows Herbo's latest album 25, which was released on July 2, 2021. Polo G, 21 Savage, Gunna, Rowdy Rebel, Lil Tjay, and The Kid LAROI all had cameos on the record.
