Curtis James Jackson III was born on July 6, 1975, in Queens, New York City, USA, to a drug dealer mother named Sabrina. Curtis' mother died in a bizarre fire accident when he was eight years old, forcing his father to depart as well. Curtis James was therefore placed in the care of his grandma.
