The well-talented DJ Meli Mel has been working hard over the previous few years. - How long has music been a part of your life?
Music has always been a part of my life since I was born, my dad plays the guitar so I was around that since I was young, m... I got into playing the piano, I was dancing for a hip-hop team, and then I started vocal singing classes.
- If it wasn’t for music, where would you be now?
If it wasn’t for music honestly who knows where I would be not even sure how my life would be, definitely in a different lifestyle
- In what way do you aim to make a difference?
I wanna make a difference for the females in the music industry and also for the LGBT community. I wanna show to never be afraid of what you wanna do in life or even worry about what people think
- Who is your fashion icon, and why?
My fashion icon would be Young M.A. lol
What’s the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?
Probably when I got locked up for a DUI I was in there for 12 hours smh
- Where is your career heading?
I wanna be a full-time tour DJ I love to travel I see myself in the next 5 years on the road none stop I’m ready for the sleepless nights
- How would you describe your style of music?
Hip-hop, definitely hip-hop.
- If you could perform anywhere in the world where would it be?
I’ve always wanted to perform in Spain or London they go crazy out there and know how to party
- What makes you different from the other DJs in the industry?
I don’t think I’m very different from other DJs but I honestly would say the only difference in me is that I enjoy this, I don’t do it just for the money
- If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be and why?
I really want to collaborate with Lil baby he’s my favorite rapper right now
- Who inspires you the most?
It’s a lot of DJs in the industry that actually inspire me, but the most who inspire me I would say is DJ Khaled
- How do you plan to break through, and where do you think the future of the music industry lies?
My plan is to keep grinding and keep going no matter how old I’m going to be in the next few years. Ima make my dreams come true anything is possible.
