Young Thug's YSL Gang charge arrested was most likely not the best of his 2022, and sadly for the 31-year-old, he's been struck with further obstacles while he waits for his January 2023 trial. The Atlanta native lost a close buddy, Lil Keed, only days after being imprisoned, and has been refused release owing to charges that he is a genuinely dangerous criminal in the 56-count indictment.
Thugger has now expressed his sorrow for the death of another member of the hip-hop community, 30-year-old PnB Rock. The "Selfish" hitmaker was gunned down in an armed robbery that occurred while he was in Los Angeles on Monday (September 12). In the hours following, eyewitnesses have recounted the event, revealing that the shooter attempted to grab the recording artist's jewels after his fiancée dropped off a location-tagged snapshot of their position.
Captain Kelly Muniz of the Los Angeles Police Department said that the offender "shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot." The shooter's identity has not yet been established.
On Tuesday (September 13) afternoon, Thugger's Twitter account received a tweet in response to the news. "R.I.P. lil bruh. Love 5life [prayer emoji]," the "Day Before" singer posted on Instagram.
It's not the first post to appear on the rapper's social media profile in recent weeks, leaving fans perplexed – and prosecutors apparently outraged – over how he's been able to communicate from behind bars.
R.I.P. lil bruh. Love 5life 🙏🏾
