The Los Angeles Police Department said on Wednesday (Sept. 28) that they had taken Shauntel Trone, 38, into jail just after an investigation into the murder of the Philadelphia rapper led to her involvement.
She was detained in Gardena, California on Tuesday (September 27). Trone was caught with the assistance of the Los Angeles Police Department's LAPD/FBI Taskforce, Operations-South Bureau's Community Safety Unit, and South Bureau Homicide Division, and detained on a charge of accessory to murder. She is still being held without bond.
Reports on LAPD Media Relations Trone is 32 years old, but her criminal history shows she is 38. Shauntel Trone's arrest comes after the September 27 news of the arrest of an anonymous 17-year-old thought to be her son. Police believe the adolescent was the one who squeezed the shot, killing PnB Rock on Sept. 12 at Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N Waffles in South Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department revealed shortly before the teen's arrest on Wednesday afternoon that the 17-year-father, old's Freddie Lee Trone, was arrested as a suspect in PnB Rock's murder. Police suspect Freddie Trone was his son's getaway driver after the 17-year-old allegedly shot the Philadelphia rapper and stole his jewels. He is now on the run and thought "armed and dangerous."
Trone and his son were alleged to be in the parking lot of Roscoe's Chicken 'N Waffles when PnB Rock and his girlfriend arrived. This revelation contradicts original allegations that a social media post by Rock's fiancée on the day of his untimely death may have revealed his position to the suspected killer.
