DJ Drama Claims Lil Uzi Vert replaced Meek Mill On Philadelphia's Anthem - WhatsOnRap

DJ Drama believes Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Just Wanna Rock’ has replaced Meek Mill’s ‘Dreams & Nightmares’ as the new anthem for the Philadelphia Eagles

DJ Drama believes Meek Mill's famed Dreams & Nightmares opening no longer has the same hold over Philadelphia as it once did. After the Eagles' victory on Sunday, the legendary Gangsta Grillz DJ spoke with TMZ this week.

The rapper's track, "Just Wanna Rock," blared over the speaker system as the squad marched out with Lil Uzi Vert at the forefront of their procession. As a consequence, Drama believes Uzi's "Just Wanna Rock" entrance has replaced Meek Mill's "Dreams & Nightmares" opener as the current official anthem of Philadelphia.

“I think it’s fair to say that ‘I Just Wanna Rock’ has replaced — with all due respect — ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ as the new anthem of Philadelphia. As the new anthem of the Philadelphia Eagles this year,” Drama said. “I’m looking forward to hearing that song many, many times [during] Super Bowl weekend.”

It may be an exaggeration to state that it has supplanted "Dreams & Nightmares." Following the Eagles' victory on Sunday, videos of Meek Mill's smash song playing around the streets of Philadelphia surfaced. Meek was also ecstatic following the Eagles' victory. He then volunteered to perform for free at a club to celebrate his triumph.

Last year, before releasing Red + White, the rapper alluded to the release of Pink Tape. He hasn't given a specific release date for the project, although he has stated that it would be released in February. Given the current momentum of "Just Wanna Rock," it appears that February is the best time to release the follow-up to Eternal Atake.
