During the evening of August 25th, Drake graciously shared more details about his highly-anticipated album, "For All the Dogs." Despite the absence of a specific release date from the "Hotline Bling" artist, many speculated that yesterday would mark the album's unveiling.
In a video captured by an ardent fan during his Seattle concert, the Grammy-winning rapper clarified, “I know everyone is upset that I didn’t drop the album last night, but I didn’t say the album was dropping last night, so don’t be mad at me. It’s not going to be that much longer, trust me. I am finishing it up. You know I got shows every night.”
He concluded this short interruption with a promise, affirming, “But I promise you For All the Dogs is on the way. If you ever loved anything that I have made in the past, then I promise this album will be for you. I promise you it will be worth the wait.”
However, a now-deleted tweet from Amazon Music seemingly confirmed that the album was set to release on August 25th. This news ignited fervor among fans, anticipating a new musical offering from the Canadian rap icon. This release would mark his first solo rap album since 2021's "Certified Lover Boy." That album featured collaborations with industry heavyweights like Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Young Thug, and Future.
In the midst of these expectations, Lil Yachty playfully teased fans who believed the album was dropping that night. Through social media, he quipped, "Y’all are a bit gullible. There was never an announcement that 'For All the Dogs' was dropping tonight." He went a step further, creating a video to elucidate why it's wise "not to swallow everything served on the internet." In the video, he emphasized, “By the way, I know y’all thought For All the Dogs was coming out tonight. Joke’s on y’all because nobody ever said that it was. Gotta stop believing s**t you see on the internet.”
