Cassie Files Lawsuit Against Diddy Alleging R*pe and Decade-Long Abuse

In a lawsuit filed by his ex-wife Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, Sean "Diddy" Combs was accused of r*pe and ab*se for over a decade.

Cassie filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Manhattan on Thursday, Nov. 16, according to The New York Times, accusing the hip-hop entrepreneur of physically ab*sing her throughout their relationship, which ended in 2018. She said that immediately after meeting Combs in 2005, when she was 19, he began demonstrating dominating and ab*sive behavior. She said that in certain cases of ab*se, he forced her to take dr*gs, beat her, and forced her to have s*x with male pr*stitutes so he could capture tapes of the experiences.

"After years in silence and darkness," she stated in a statement, "I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face vi*lence and ab*se in their relationships." In her case, she seeks specific damages.
Her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, stated that the two parties communicated prior to filing the complaint. "Mr. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit," stated Mr. Combs. "She rejected his efforts." Attorney Ben Brafman refuted the charges against his client in a response.

"Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations," Brafman said. "For the past six months, Mr. Combs, has been subjected to Ms. Ventura's persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs' reputation and seeking a pay day."

He apparently started having a lot of control over her life and business shortly after she joined with Combs' Bad Boy Records, which published her debut album in 2006. She said that among the "copious amounts of dr*gs" he persuaded her to ingest were ecstasy and ketamine. Cassie said that during their relationship, he was regularly vi*lent and beat her "multiple times each year."

He reportedly slammed her into a vehicle and kicked her in the face until she started bleeding in one incident in 2009. Following the event, she was forced to stay in a hotel room against her will for a week and was informed she couldn't go home to see her parents when she requested.

"Ms. Ventura felt that saying 'no' to Mr. Combs would cost her something — her family, her friends, her career, or even her life," according to the complaint. Combs threatened to blow up Kid Cudi's automobile during their brief relationship in 2012. "Around that time, Kid Cudi's car exploded in his driveway," according to the lawsuit.

Combs was additionally accused of pushing her into participating in his voyeurism fantasies, such as having s*x with male pr*stitutes so he could capture movies, take photographs, and masturbate. He referred to these incidents as "freak offs," she added, and he would occasionally get vi*lent during them. He hit her in the face once, leaving her with a black eye.
