J. Cole's New Mixtape Stirs Controversy with Alleged Diss Aimed at Future

J. Cole Sparks Controversy with Future Diss on New Mixtape "Might Delete Later"
J. Cole's latest move in the rap game has stirred up controversy once again, as he appears to take aim at Future in his surprise mixtape "Might Delete Later." On the track "Crocodile Tearz," Cole drops what seems to be a subliminal diss towards the Atlanta rap heavyweight.
In the midst of his hard-hitting bars over trap production, Cole spits lines like:
Yes, sir, it’s me, not two, not three/ The uno, G-O-A-T, I need my fee, f*ck kudos/ G4 at least, these flights ain’t cheap as you know/ They sound faded, they downgraded, they Pluto/ I’m bigger than Mars, this n*gga a star, I’m Bruno.

J. Cole Throws Shots at Future on New Mixtape

While the mention of "Pluto" fits into his planetary wordplay, it also happens to be Future's moniker, hinting at a possible jab towards him. Additionally, the "faded" line could be interpreted as a critique of Future's drug-centric music style.
This potential diss comes amidst a growing divide within the hip-hop community, notably following the release of Future and Metro Boomin's collaborative album "We Don’t Trust You." This divide has seemingly split the industry into two factions: one side featuring Drake and J. Cole, and the other including Future, Metro, Kendrick Lamar, and Rick Ross.

The tension escalated with Kendrick Lamar's controversial guest verse on "Like That," where he took shots at both Drake and Cole. Moreover, Future's contributions to the album also sparked speculation of dissing towards Drake. Cole, however, hasn't remained silent in the face of these provocations. His response came in the form of "7 Minute Drill," a scathing diss track that serves as the closing statement on "Might Delete Later." In this track, Cole channels the spirit of rap legends like JAY-Z, drawing parallels to the iconic "Takeover" diss aimed at Nas.

As the hip-hop landscape continues to evolve, the drama and tension between its key players only seem to intensify. With J. Cole's latest move, the lines between friend and foe become increasingly blurred, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this ongoing saga.
