Sauce Walka Blasts Drake for Failing to Support Houston Artists
Houston rapper Sauce Walka has had a longstanding beef with Drake that dates back to 2015, rooted in what Walka sees as a lack of support for Houston’s rap scene.
The tension began around the time of Drake's Houston Appreciation Weekend, where Sauce Walka felt that Drake was exploiting the city’s culture without giving back to its artists.
During this period, Walka didn’t hold back, publicly calling out Drake for what he perceived as a superficial connection to Houston.
"A n**** using our culture for lyrical content, and ain’t giving s*** back but a family fun day and some money to some h*es he tricking on in the club. This b****-a** n**** make music with artists from everywhere but Houston"
Sauce Walka Accuses Drake of Overlooking Houston Talent:
Sauce Walka said. His frustration led to the release of a diss track titled "Wack 2 Wack," which saw Walka rapping over Drake's "Back to Back" beat, making his grievances loud and clear.

Although the two were spotted together at a Houston strip club called Area 29 a few months ago, seemingly burying the hatchet, the peace between them appears to be short-lived.
In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Sauce Walka reignited the old issues, expressing his confusion over Drake’s self-proclaimed support of Houston's rap culture while rarely collaborating with local artists.
Sauce Walka pointed out that while Drake has worked with Houston legends like Travis Scott, Bun B, Pimp C, and Beyoncé, he tends to collaborate only with artists who are already established.
Walka's argument is that Drake should be doing more to uplift lesser-known Houston talent, giving them the spotlight they need to succeed.
By doing so, Sauce believes that bigger music festivals like Rolling Loud would eventually make their way to the city, providing even more opportunities for local artists to shine.
While it’s unclear whether this latest outburst will lead to further conflict between Sauce Walka and Drake, the tension between them highlights an ongoing debate about cultural appropriation and the responsibility of major artists to support the communities they draw inspiration from.
