Eminem Reacts to Being Called “The Guy From Fortnite”

Eminem Laughs After Fan Calls Him “The Guy from Fortnite” in Hilarious Viral Clip

Marshall Mathers, better known to the world as Eminem, has gone by many names throughout his iconic career.

Whether it’s Slim Shady, Rap God, or one-half of the duo Bad Meets Evil, the Detroit rapper is a living legend in hip-hop culture. But for a younger generation? He might just be... "that guy from Fortnite." Yes, really.

Eminem’s Face When They Called Him a Fortnite Character:

Over the past few years, Eminem has made a surprising mark on Fortnite, Epic Games’ massively popular battle royale

His first appearance came in 2023 during the highly-anticipated Big Bang live event, where he performed in a post-apocalyptic landscape — blending music and gaming in a way only Fortnite could pull off.
Later, in 2024, Eminem returned in full force. As part of the Chapter 2 Remix finale, the rapper hosted a digital rap battle version of Fortnite’s infamous Monster vs. Mech showdown.

It was both bizarre and brilliant — classic Fortnite chaos with an Eminem twist. That mini-season even introduced an in-game hideout inspired by Em, and a special weapon: a minigun that fired bullets to the rhythm of his lyrics. Hip-hop met gaming in a way fans had never seen before.

But the wildest moment came off-screen. Recently, a brave fan referred to Eminem to his face as “the guy from Fortnite.”

The clip quickly went viral. Instead of being offended, the rap icon burst out laughing, taking the comment in stride.

It was a wholesome moment that showed Eminem’s sense of humor and perhaps, his awareness that he's become a pop culture figure across generations.

The internet, of course, had a field day. Memes, tweets, and TikToks exploded, with users joking about how Eminem has officially entered “Zoomer legend” territory.

While older fans still revere him for The Marshall Mathers LP or 8 Mile, Gen Z might know him more from in-game skins and virtual rap battles.

Either way, it’s a win for the culture. Eminem continues to evolve — not just as a hip-hop icon, but as a digital-era entertainer who bridges generations.
