Is Young Thug a snitch? Another clip of him in the interrogation room is going viral

Another Interrogation Room Video of Young Thug Sparks Snitching Rumors

Young Thug Interrogation Clip Sparks Snitching Debate in Hip-Hop Community
A resurfaced audio clip from Young Thug’s 2015 police interrogation has sparked fresh controversy in the hip-hop world, reigniting long-standing “snitching” rumors surrounding the Atlanta rap icon.

The viral audio, now making rounds across social platforms like X and Instagram, captures the rapper in a vulnerable moment during police questioning.

In the clip, Young Thug, whose legal name is Jeffery Williams, tells detectives:

“Promises… I made promises… whatever anything you wanna know in time I’ma tell you but don’t tell the world.”

Young Thug Faces Snitching Allegations After New Interrogation Clip Goes Viral:

The recording stems from a two-hour interrogation in 2015, following Thug’s arrest on terroristic threats charges at a Georgia mall

During the session, detectives also pressed him about the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus, a case tied to YSL associate Peewee Roscoe.

Hip-Hop Fans Divided Over the Clip:

While the clip isn’t new, it has floated online for nearly two years, it’s gaining renewed attention, with many hip-hop fans and critics dissecting every word.

Thug is alleged to have mentioned Roscoe by name and referenced details critics say could be viewed as cooperation.

But Thug isn't having it. He clapped back at the speculation directly on X:

“They didn’t play my interrogation video in court cause I helped my brada #Ratwhere?”

He maintains that his comments were misinterpreted and insists the footage shows him protecting Roscoe, not turning on him.

In an even stronger defense, Thug highlighted court filings disputing law enforcement claims:

“Stop trying to make me one of those boys,” In other Tweet he wrote. “This motion got filed cause the detective lied and said I made a statement in back of a police car… that never ever happened.”

Peewee Roscoe Breaks His Silence:

Roscoe, who was convicted in the Lil Wayne tour bus incident, has also come to Thug’s defense. In a recently surfaced video, Roscoe praised the rapper’s loyalty:

“Clean as Listerine… clean as ivory soap… kept it silent, kept it overly real.”

He insisted that Thug’s words were twisted and that the rapper actually tried to help, not hurt him:

“He actually tried to pull me out the hole,” Roscoe said.

Gunna, YSL & Double Standards?

The situation has revived comparisons to Gunna, who took an Alford plea in the massive YSL RICO case in late 2022.

At the time, Thug publicly distanced himself from Gunna, tweeting (then deleting):
“Stop acting like we friends.”

What's Next for Young Thug?

All of this unfolds as Thug readies his comeback album, titled UY Scuti, his first since being released from jail in October 2024.

Under a plea agreement, he’s now facing 15 years of probation, along with restrictions on travel and lyrical content.

With his name trending again and controversy swirling, it’s clear that Young Thug’s legacy in the rap game continues to spark intense debate, from the courtroom to the comment section.
