Drake Addresses “BBL Drizzy” Nickname, Talks Ab Surgery Rumors on Bobbi Althoff’s Podcast
Drake is finally setting the record straight on the long-standing rumors about his abs, and he’s doing it with humor.
The Toronto rap superstar appeared on the premiere episode of Bobbi Althoff’s new podcast Not This Again, which dropped Tuesday (Sept. 2).
Their conversation took a light but headline-making turn when the topic of plastic surgery came up, specifically, whether Drake had ever gone under the knife for ab enhancement.

Althoff didn’t hold back, asking directly if the OVO boss had ever had “a procedure,” referencing the idea of sculpted abs. Drake’s immediate and simple answer: “No.”
That led to some playful back-and-forth, with Althoff questioning whether the ab-sculpting procedure even exists, and how one would know.“People do it all the time… People also say that I got a BBL, right? They call me BBL Drizzy, so that's true. I don't know if my wagon looked crazy when I walked in here, but did it?"

Their humorous exchange continued, with Althoff joking about checking out Drake when he walked in. The conversation soon shifted to the viral shirtless photo that sparked much of the speculation.
Drake explained the infamous pic was snapped after a gym session, and might’ve looked a bit more polished than reality.
“I think it was just like I came from the gym. I was sweaty in that pic,” he said. “Maybe I heightened the saturation or something on it. I think I hit it too hard. They don't look like that. You saw them.”
He also revealed Althoff had asked to see his abs before the podcast.
“She asked me to see my abs, and I showed them to her.”
Althoff joked:
“The first thing I [said] when I got off the plane was like, ‘Can I see your abs?’ And then you were like, ‘Sure.’ And that was it, and I was like, ‘Wow, you're so hot,’”
The beat sampled a parody soul track by KingWillonius, giving internet culture yet another reason to run with the rumor.
With this latest appearance, Drake puts the speculation to rest, but does it in a way only he can: by owning the joke while brushing off the nonsense.
