Young Thug Drops Emotional Track “Man I Miss My Dogs” Amid Jail Call Leaks and Public Apologies

Young Thug is letting it all out through music. As leaked jailhouse phone calls stir controversy online, the Atlanta rapper is shifting the spotlight with a raw and emotional new single titled “Man I Miss My Dogs.”

Released Thursday, the track sees Thug addressing strained relationships, lost trust, and public regrets, including deeply personal apologies to Mariah the Scientist, Drake, Lil Baby, and others.

Alongside the song, Thug shared lyrics in an Instagram post and dropped an official video, making the message loud and clear: he’s speaking from the heart.

The song begins with a powerful apology to his longtime girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist, whose name has been caught up in online drama following Thug's leaked jail calls. In the song, Thug expresses vulnerability and remorse:
“Baby, I'm sorry. One of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet. Waking up in our bed with you right by my neck. Saving don't you break a sweat. Pillow talking ain't my game. Pillow talking ain't my name. Pillow talking ain't my name. Baby, I love you. I know you see this rain. I know you feel my pain.”

Thugger doesn't hold back in taking accountability for how his actions have affected her:

“Look at these n*as bashing me like Jesus cause I made it. Look at all this sh*t we've been through, baby crying in Mercedes. F**k a jail call, I was playing, I'd never trade you. You was encouraging me on my bad days.” He continues: “I'm sorry for being a part of these h*es laughing at you ... I'm sorry for taking you from who bao you just to put you through this madness. I'm the reason you crashing.”

Young Thug Responds to Leaked Calls with Apologies and New Music:

Elsewhere in the track, Young Thug shifts gears, giving love to Drake, who visited him while he was locked up.

He also revealed he personally reached out to Metro Boomin to try to settle the ongoing tension between Metro, Drizzy, and Future.

“Love to my nas still with us. Those that stay down through rough waters can relate. Feel like my future ain't sht. It is what it is. Drizzy, you my brother. You know I ain't going against you. Came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do. F* the jail call, you know the other calls we had.”

He continues with a powerful moment of behind-the-scenes honesty:

“Trying to get you, Metro, and Pluto on the same page. The internet don't know about it because real ns don't say. Real n**s do. I called Metro on the phone and told him let it go.”

Shortly after the post went live, fans noticed that Drake quietly liked Thug’s Instagram post, a subtle but meaningful sign of support during a turbulent time.

As the fallout from leaked jail calls continues, Young Thug isn't holding back, and in his new song “Man I Miss My Dogs,” he's calling out names with love, pain, and honesty.

One of the most talked-about verses is aimed at Lil Baby, aka Wham, where Thug reminds him of their deep connection and shared history:

"Wham pick up the phone yeah, talk to me its Spider
Taught you everything you know about this shit we for lifers
God told you in the bible the devil will knife you
Rats already winning don’t let this shit divide us
"

Thug also delivers a heartfelt apology to Future, revealing past insecurities and expressing deep loyalty:

“Always a dog to me/ Always kept it real/ So I had one mission that’s to make you proud of me/
Came and did an album with me when I wasn’t even proud of me/
B*tches told me that you talking bad I know they lying to me.”

When it comes to 21 Savage, Thug acknowledges his consistent support, and even shares how he’s tried to be a peacemaker behind the scenes:

"Savage, you are a real n**a. Don’t let them tell you different. You’ve been calling my phone ever since n*as went missingI wish the Internet could hear the calls I’m so seriousLike how I got you and Wham on the phone to settle differences. You tried to get me and Lucci on the phone plenty. Like how I got Pluto and Drizzy on another mission"

With each verse, Young Thug paints a picture of someone trying to reconnect, reflect, and make peace, even while confined behind bars.

The song and post arrive just days after leaked jail calls surfaced online, allegedly featuring Thug expressing frustration toward Drake, making comments about GloRilla, and sharing thoughts on Gunna.

He also recently spoke about the situation in a conversation with Big Bank on a podcast appearance.

And if that wasn’t enough, Thug wrapped the moment with major news: his long-awaited album UY SCUTI is officially dropping on September 19.
