Trippie Redd's Childhood, Age, Family, Biography, Awards & More

Trippie Redd, born Michael Lamar White IV, is a rapper and vocalist from the United States. He is well known for his number-one songs "Love Scars" and "Dark Knight Dummo." He was born and reared in difficult circumstances, and he grew up without a father.

His father was in prison when he was born, therefore he was raised by a single mother. He grew up listening to his mother's modern rap music in their home. He began intensively studying music in 2014 and recorded two songs at the age of 15. However, after receiving a negative response, he erased them.

He graduated from high school and went to Atlanta to pursue a career in music. He began his career by collaborating with prominent musicians such as Lil Wop and released his first mixtape in 2017. 'Life's a Trip,' his debut album, was released in 2018. Although the album was not well received by critics, it performed well commercially. It debuted at number four on the 'Billboard 200,' selling 72 thousand copies in its first week.

Childhood & Early Life :

Trippie Redd was born Michael Lamar White IV on June 18, 1999, in Canton, Ohio, into a difficult family. His father was imprisoned shortly before Michael was born. His mother took on the responsibility of raising him as a single mother. She worked hard to make ends meet, but it wasn't enough to keep him out of the streets, which were rife with criminals. He became involved in minor crimes and drug dealing at a young age.

His mum was a huge music lover who listened to a lot of modern rappers like Beyoncé and Tupac. Trippie was motivated to become a musician by the musical vibes around his home. He grew up idolizing musicians like Lil Wayne, KISS, Gucci Mane, and Nirvana.
Trippie has an older sibling who wanted to be a musician as well. However, he perished in a vehicle accident, which proved to be the biggest wake-up call for Trippie. He soon began to take his music profession more seriously.

He began composing music and uploading it on the internet in 2014 when he was 15 years old. 'New Ferrari' and 'Sub-Zero' were two of his early tracks that were made available online. While both songs were popular in Ohio's local clubs, Trippie was dissatisfied with them. He quickly removed them from the internet.
Trippie relocated to Atlanta after graduating from high school. There, he met rapper Lil Wop, and his career got its first big break.

Career :

Trippie has never been within a professional recording studio before meeting Lil Wop. Wop first exposed him to rap and music production. They began working together, along with another rapper named Kodie Shane. They soon produced some excellent stuff.

Trippie's early albums included 'Awakening my Inner Beast,' 'Beast Most,' and 'Rock the World Trippie.' Trippie began receiving much better offers after the success of these projects and eventually ended up in Los Angeles. He signed a deal with 'Strainge Entertainment,' which is now known as 'Elliot Grainge Entertainment,' there.

This was the real start of Trippie's musical career. Trippie soon began production on his debut mixtape, 'A Love Letter to You,' which was released in May 2017. Trippie's mixtape debuted at the 64th slot on the Billboard 200 list, which is unusual for a beginner.

The mixtape was initially released on 'SoundCloud,' but was later picked up by 'iTunes.' 'Love Scars,' a track from the album, became a great smash in nightclubs and on radio stations. The 'Recording Industry Association of America' finally certified the single "platinum" (RIAA). Within a few months of its release, the song had over eight million views on 'YouTube.'

Trippie eventually began receiving offers to appear on the albums of well-known rappers. He worked with XXXTentacion on the song "Fuck Love" from his album "17." The song was a tremendous smash, debuting at number 28 on the 'Billboard Hot 100' list.

Trippie then began production on his new mixtape, 'A Love Letter to You 2,' which dropped in October 2017. This mixtape, like his prior one, was an instant hit. The mixtape peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. The following year, he worked with his mentor Lil Wop on the album 'Angels & Demons.'

More prominent musicians began seeking him for collaborations as his music improved. Trippie and Travis Scott collaborated to create the song 'Dark Knight Dummo,' which was released in December 2017. Trippie was the main performer in the song. The song peaked at number 72 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. It was the first Trippie song to debut at the top of the charts with him as the main artist.

By the end of the year, he had recorded songs such as '18' and 'TR666.' He worked with musicians like Rich Brian, Scott Storch, and Kris Wu. In March 2018, he formally stated that he was working on his debut studio album and astonished everyone by revealing that Lil Wayne will be on it as a guest. 'Life's a Trip,' the album, was released in August 2018. Trippie previously stated that his album will have 26 tracks.

The number of songs, however, eventually decreased to 16. The album includes collaborations with some of the industry's greatest stars, including Travis Scott, Diplo, and Young Thug. Lil Wayne, on the other hand, was nowhere to be found on the list, despite Trippie's claims.

The album was not highly regarded by reviewers. The main complaint was that the album lacked a fresh sound and that the majority of the songs were too personal and repetitive. However, it garnered some positive feedback, claiming Trippie was capable of releasing a terrific album. Despite its poor critical reception, the album opened at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 list.

Feuds :

Trippie Redd has faced a lot of feuds over his career. His most well-known beef was with rapper 6ix9ine. 6ix9ine, according to Trippie, is a pedophile. As a consequence, he was beaten up by one of 6ix9ine's bodyguards. As the feud heated up, Trippie recorded a live video. He was also involved in a minor feud with XXXTentacion. However, the dispute was short-lived and was quickly reconciled.

Personal Life :

Trippie Redd is already dating another rapper Aylek$ for a long time now. He announced the relationship on his 'Instagram account. In March 2017, he claimed to have a $7 million net worth and to have paid $300,000 for a property for his mother.
