Adele Shows Her Support for Megan Thee Stallion Following Tory Lanez's Guilty Verdict - WhatsOnRap

Adele speaks out in support of Megan Thee Stallion after Tory Lanez's guilty verdict "Girl, get the peace. Do whatever you want now, baby"

Adele is expressing her emotions for Megan Thee Stallion. Only hours following Tory Lanez was convicted in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, the "Easy on Me" singer expressed her support for the "Savage" rapper.

Meg was mentioned during Adele's Weekends With Adele residency event at The Colosseum at Cesars Palace in Las Vegas on Friday (Dec. 23).

She started by informing concertgoers about a popular TikTok mashup in which Megan executes the dance to her own song "Body," but it's manipulated to look like she's dancing to "Water Under the Bridge" from 25.

"Someone asked why Adele didn't have backup dancers," the singer recounted. "Then someone made a video of 'Water Under the Bridge,' with Meg Thee Stallion doing the dance. "Remember that?" The 34-year-old then alluded to Meg's victory in court.

“Well today … tonight, I would like to wish Meg the Stallion a very, very merry, merry Christmas!” she said as the crowd cheered. “Girl, get your peace. Do whatever you want now, baby! I love ya!”

On Friday, a Los Angeles jury unanimously convicted Lanez, 30, guilty on all three charges in the trial over whether he shot Megan in the foot in July 2020. The Canadian artist was convicted of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unlicensed firearm in a vehicle, and recklessly firing a firearm. He is set to be sentenced on January 27 and faces up to 22 years in jail.
