Young Thug's Judge Reads Out Rapper's Explicit Anti-Police Lyrics To 'Slim Sh*t' In Court - WhatsOnRap

Judge reads Young Thug’s lyrics out loud during their court hearing in YSL RICO case

During court, the prosecutor in the Young Thug YSL RICO case repeated lyrics from one of the Atlanta rapper's songs.

The jury selection phase of Young Thug's trial began this week. Judge Ural Glanville went over a macro picture of the prosecution's case for jurors at a hearing on Wednesday (Jan. 4), which included him reciting passages from the 2016 Thugger song "Slime Shit."

"Hey, this that slime shit, hey/YSL shit, hey/Killin' 12 shit, hey/Fuck a jail shit, hey," the judge says dryly at the 1:04:20 mark of the Law&Crime Network video. "Hey, hey/I'm not new to this, hey, I'm so true to this, hey I done put a whole slime on a hunnid licks, hey, hey."

In the same monotone tone, he reads parts of Yak Gotti's verse. "Slime or get slimed," he continues. "In the VIP and I got that pistol on my hip/You prayin' that you live/I'm prayin' that I hit/Hey, this that slime shit...Fuck, fuck the police (Fuck 'em), in a high speed."

All across the process leading up to the trial, Young Thug's lawyers attempted to prevent lyrics from being utilized in the case. They said that using songs was "racist and discriminatory" because the jury would be "poisoned and prejudiced."
