Coolio’s Cause of Death Revealed to Be Fentanyl Overdose

According to a coroner's report given by Coolio's family, the rapper died from a fentanyl overdose. Jarel "Jarez" Posey, the Coolio's family representative, told TMZ on Thursday afternoon (April 6) that they received a report from the coroner, who indicated that the Coolio died as a result of a narcotic cocktail.

Alongside the fentanyl, the rapper was allegedly high on heroin and methamphetamines. The coroner also thought that his extended smoking habit and severe asthma contributed to his body's incapacity to fight back, resulting in his terrible death.

Coolio whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr. died on September 28, 2022, at the age of 59, after being found unconscious inside his friend's Los Angeles house.

Minutes afterward, paramedics came and pronounced him dead on the spot. Paramedics suspect he had a heart attack at the moment. There were no drugs or paraphernalia discovered around him, according to reports.
