Diddy Reaches Settlement with Cassie a Day After Ab*se Lawsuit; Attorney Clarifies Settlement Not an Admission of Guilt - WhatsOnRap

Diddy’s Attorney Released Statement About Cassie's Lawsuit Settlement

Cassie and Diddy Reach Amicable Settlement in Ab*se Lawsuit
Cassie Ventura and her ex-partner, Sean “DiddyCombs, have reached a settlement in the lawsuit she filed against him just one day prior. The legal documents submitted by Ventura detailed allegations of ab*se during their relationship, but the parties have chosen an amicable resolution.

Expressing her decision, Ventura conveyed through her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, "I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support." Diddy added, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.” The terms of the settlement, including any financial arrangements, remain undisclosed to the public.
Post-settlement, Diddy's attorney, Ben Brafman, emphasized, “Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

Addressing cr*minal allegations against Diddy, rumors circulated online about him being under police scrutiny. However, TMZ confirmed with police officials that there were no ongoing investigations, debunking the speculations.

When Ventura filed the lawsuit on November 16, Brafman promptly responded, stating that his client "vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations." He also asserted that Ventura had been seeking $30 million over the past six months under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.
