A recently surfaced surveillance video from 2016 has sparked controversy surrounding hip-hop mogul Diddy, depicting a disturbing altercation between him and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. 

The footage, which emerged on CNN, captures an incident at a Los Angeles hotel on March 5, 2016.

In the video, Diddy can be seen forcefully grabbing Cassie and throwing her to the ground before kicking her. 

He then proceeds to drag her across the floor and appears to corner her, throwing an object in her direction. The footage has reignited attention on Cassie's 2023 lawsuit against Diddy, where she accused him of rape and abuse.

Cassie's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, has described the footage as confirmation of Diddy's "disturbing and predatory behavior," aligning with the allegations made in her lawsuit. 

The lawsuit also claimed that Diddy paid the hotel $50,000 for the footage, further implicating him in the incident.

The InterContinental Hotel in Century City, where the altercation took place, has been linked to other incidents involving Diddy, including one where he allegedly punched Cassie, resulting in a black eye. 

These allegations add fuel to the fire of previous lawsuits against Diddy, such as the one from producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones Jr.

Despite the mounting allegations, Diddy has vehemently denied any wrongdoing. In a statement shared on social media, he proclaimed his innocence and vowed to fight for his reputation and truth. 

This comes amidst recent federal raids on his properties, adding to the turbulent legal battle surrounding the rap icon.
