Mike Tyson Faces Health Scare on Flight to Los Angeles Ahead of Jake Paul Fight
Boxing legend Mike Tyson reportedly faced a medical emergency while on a flight to Los Angeles, ahead of his highly anticipated fight against Jake Paul.

According to In Touch Weekly, the incident occurred on a flight departing Miami on Sunday, May 26. The flight had already been delayed due to Miami's high temperatures.

An insider revealed that Tyson experienced a sudden medical issue, prompting the flight crew to call for medical assistance.

"Mike had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded," the source said. "Before the paramedics arrived, an announcement went out asking for a doctor—the message even appeared on everyone's screens."
Upon landing in Los Angeles, Tyson, 57, was swiftly taken off the plane to receive medical attention.

An eyewitness from the flight, who was seated in the exit row, noted the situation: "He was in first class, and the stewardess was very chatty.

They asked us to remain on the plane after landing so paramedics could attend to him," the eyewitness recounted. Tyson had posed for photos with fans before the plane took off.

"The stewardess mentioned that he was a very important passenger and they wanted to ensure his well-being. I mouthed ‘Mike Tyson’ to her, and she nodded in confirmation."

The New York Post reported that representatives for Tyson later confirmed the incident, reassuring fans that the boxing icon is in good condition.

"Thankfully, Mr. Tyson is doing great," they stated. "He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him."
Tyson is slated to fight Jake Paul on July 20 in an event that will feature eight two-minute rounds using 14 oz. gloves instead of the usual 10 oz. ones.

The bout will be live-streamed on Netflix. It remains uncertain if this medical episode will affect the fight, given Paul's significant age advantage over Tyson.

Known for his resilience and tenacity, Tyson's fans are hopeful that he will be able to recover fully and bring his A-game to the ring against the younger Paul.
