Post Malone, the popular singer known by his real name Austin Post, recently opened up about a significant weight loss journey, shedding an impressive 55 lbs. He went from weighing 240 lbs. to a healthier 185 lbs., and the secret to his success? A simple change in his diet—cutting out a substantial portion of his soda consumption.

In a candid conversation on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the 28-year-old artist shared his experience with cutting back on soda. "Soda is so bad. It's bad but it's so good," Post admitted. He confessed to occasionally indulging in sodas, along with other soft drinks like Monster Energy and Celsius. He humorously mentioned, "I'll have a soda. I'm a bad boy. And I'll have a Monster Energy, but Celsius is so good too."

Even after a successful performance, Post doesn't hesitate to enjoy a soft drink. He recounted, "I had a great show, and—you know what—I'm feeling a little bit naughty. I'm gonna have myself a Coke on ice. So good." While Post may humorously label himself a "bad boy" for these indulgences, his journey to better health is a testament to his commitment to making positive changes.

Despite the common celebrity trend of using various methods, including prescription medications like Ozempic, for weight loss, Post clarified that he relied solely on his dietary adjustments for his transformation. In April, he took to Instagram to address speculation about his weight loss and overall stage performance, asserting that drugs were not a factor. He emphasized, "I wanted to say that I'm not doing drugs, I've had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and I'd suppose, performance on stage. I'm having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier."
Becoming a father last year was a turning point for Post, motivating him to take control of his eating habits. He shared that fatherhood had a profound impact on his perspective and choices. Previously known for being Postmates' top customer in 2018, with a staggering 660 orders and an $8,000 expenditure on 10,000 biscuits from Popeyes, Post acknowledged that the birth of his daughter compelled him to prioritize his well-being. On Instagram, he reflected, "I guess dad life kicked in and I decided to kick soda and start eating better, so I can be around for a long time for this little angel."

Post Malone's journey exemplifies how personal motivation, coupled with life-changing events, can pave the way for meaningful transformations. From making dietary adjustments to embracing fatherhood, he's demonstrated a commitment to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
